How it works
Tell us which part of town pays
Bring your last 40 or 50 jobs with the street or postal code, the invoice total and whether the customer found you or was referred. That list shows which of the three towns, and which job types, deserve the budget.
Agree on a written plan and a ceiling
We set out the searches, pages and ad spend worth paying for, the most you should pay per lead, and the monthly fee, all on one page before anything starts.
Speak to the person doing the thinking
There's no intake script and no junior rep relaying messages. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.
Services
-
Local SEO across the three towns
Show up when people search by Galt, Preston, Hespeler or Blair, not just by Cambridge.
-
Google Ads with a cost ceiling
Paid search capped at a cost per lead your job margins can actually carry.
-
Websites that turn visits into calls
A quick, clear site with local proof and one obvious next step: call, text or email.
-
Marketing to Cambridge's industrial parks
Reach the plant and facility managers who hand out recurring maintenance and service work.
Four services, and how to tell which one your Cambridge business needs first
Cambridge is one city on the map and three towns in conversation. Since the 1973 amalgamation of Galt, Preston, Hespeler and Blair, people have filed taxes in Cambridge while still telling a roofer they live "in Hespeler". Cambridge.Marketing helps trades and local service businesses turn that quirk into an advantage: we plan where you should compete, say it in the words your customers use, and measure the result in booked jobs rather than clicks.
What makes Cambridge different to market in
Cambridge rewards businesses that know which part of town they are talking to. The city has 38 official planning neighbourhoods grouped into four communities, three historic downtowns with their own business improvement areas, and a band of industrial land along the north end.
Three consequences matter for a trades owner:
- Customers describe themselves by old town names. A homeowner in Preston Heights might type "Preston plumber", "Cambridge plumber" or simply "plumber near me". Your pages and profile need to make sense for both.
- Distance is part of how Google ranks you. A Galt-based company can usually win close to home with less effort than it takes to win across the river in Hespeler. That should shape where you put your budget.
- Two very different buyers live side by side. Homeowners in the residential neighbourhoods and facility managers in the business parks want different things, search differently and pay differently.
Who we work with
We work with owner-run service businesses that already do good work and want more of the right jobs. Typical clients have between one and fifteen trucks and are based in Cambridge or nearby in Kitchener, North Dumfries or Puslinch.
- Plumbers, drain specialists and water-heater installers
- Electricians and low-voltage contractors
- Roofers, eavestrough crews, siding and window companies
- Heating and cooling companies
- Renovators, basement finishers and handyman services
- Landscapers, snow removal operators and cleaning companies
- Commercial maintenance trades selling into plants and warehouses
We are a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor. We don't do the installs, repairs or service calls; you do, and we help more of the right people find you and pick up the phone.
The housing mix tells you what to sell
Cambridge is still mostly a city of houses, which shapes the work that's out there. In the 2021 Census, single-detached homes made up 56.8% of the city's 51,270 occupied private dwellings, with row houses at 12.3% and semi-detached at 7.3%. Only 5.9% were apartments in buildings of five or more storeys.
For most trades that means the decision-maker is an owner standing in their own basement, not a condo board. Owners compare two or three quotes, read reviews and pick the company that looks most trustworthy. That makes your website, your reviews and how fast you answer the phone more important than clever ad copy.
Proof, from our HVAC work
Our published results come from heating and cooling clients, because that is where the group's portfolio began. We present them as results from our HVAC work, not as Cambridge or other-trade results.
- CombiBoiler.ca reached 300% ROI and 300+ monthly leads.
- HeatLand: 850+ SEO articles behind it, and leads up 300% within 6 months.
- BCWide.ca tripled its leads in 90 days.
What transfers to a Cambridge roofer or electrician is the method: pick winnable searches, build pages that answer real questions, and track every call back to its source. The full write-ups are on our results page.
How a first conversation goes
The first call is about your numbers, not our pitch. We'll ask what an average job is worth, how many quotes you close, how many more jobs your crew can take, and which part of Cambridge you'd rather not drive to at 4 p.m. on a Friday.
Bring rough figures if you don't have exact ones. An owner who says "most jobs are between $800 and $2,000 and I win about half my quotes" has given us enough to start, and the conversation will be more useful than any generic proposal.
From that we can usually tell you, on the call, whether more marketing is the answer at all. Sometimes the fix is answering the phone faster or asking for reviews properly, and we'll say so. If a plan makes sense, you get it in writing with the monthly fee from our pricing page and a cost-per-lead ceiling we agree in advance.

Frequently asked questions
What is Cambridge.Marketing?
It's a Canadian marketing and business consulting service for trades and local service businesses in Cambridge, Ontario. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it, and it sits inside the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, a Canadian company run from Vancouver, BC.
Do you do any of the trade work yourselves?
No. We aren't a contractor and we never install, repair or service anything. We plan and run your marketing and advise on growth, and the jobs that come in are yours alone; we don't resell them.
Should I advertise as Cambridge, or as Galt, Preston and Hespeler?
Both. Plenty of residents still say Galt, Preston, Hespeler or Blair, and some search that way, so your website and Google Business Profile should use those names wherever you genuinely work there, alongside Cambridge.
How much does it cost?
Our entry plan is $1,999 a month with no contract, and committing to a year brings it to $1,499 a month; 13% HST is added to either. Ad spend is separate and goes directly to the platform. Eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute first consultation.
Your office is in Vancouver. Does that matter for a Cambridge business?
Less than you'd expect. The work happens in search results, ad accounts and your website, and we check every recommendation against what a Cambridge searcher actually sees. We keep Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific hours, so a Cambridge owner can reach us from noon until 9 p.m. local time.
Are your case studies from Cambridge trades?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. They're results from our HVAC work, with each client named and linked, and we show them because the method behind them carries over to other trades.
